The BCCSL hires a League Administrator and launches new website
The BC Coastal Soccer League (BCCSL) has undertaken noticeable and important progress in its plans to streamline operations during this exciting period in the restructuring of youth soccer leagues in BC’s lower mainland.
One of the key objectives of the BCCSL Board of Directors was to professionalize the league operations, and a large step forward was made in hiring Matt Holbrook, of Holbrook Sports Management, in the role of BCCSL Administrator. Matt presently manages the BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL), and will add the management of the BCCSL’s daily operations to his work in the soccer market. Joe Basic, BCCSL Chair, commented “Bringing Matt on board gives us the professional administrator that we were searching for. We look forward to the growth of the BCCSL under Matt’s administrative leadership combined with the board’s progressive vision”. Matt has been with the BCSPL since its launch in the fall of 2011, and prior to that role, held roles with BC Soccer as their Member Services Manager and with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC as their Youth Development Manager.
The BCCSL is also pleased to appoint Jackie Larson as the Discipline Committee Chair. Jackie’s background is extensive in youth district operations, and her attention to detail will ensure smooth operations relating to all BCCSL discipline matters.
Working with A3 Creative Solutions to design and host the new BCCSL website, www.bccoastalsoccerleague.ca is now live and will be an important source for schedules, documents and news relating to the BCCSL. With the 2018-19 fall season starting in September, a lot of content will be added over the next couple months. The schedules will be the main attraction to the website, and on that topic, the BCCSL has recently posted for a Head Scheduler. That job posting can also be found on the BCCSL website.
